The Roche Coaguchek XS PT Test Strips are designed to be used with the Coaguchek XS meter, which effectively provides safe and reliable testing of blood-clotting time in a patient. Each box of these test strips features its own code chip, which is inserted into the meter, containing product information such as the expiration date and lot number. It is important that the code number on the chip matches the code number on the container to obtain an accurate result.

To administer the test, simply insert the test strip into the XS meter, apply a small amount of blood sample, and wait for about a minute for the result. Each test strip contains various ingredients, which interacts with the blood sample, and forms a blood clot for efficient measurement and testing. The strips have a 21-month shelf life from the date of manufacture, and do not require refrigeration
